During our Puerto Chale Gray Whale Adventure guests will spend a total of 3 hours whale watching. The tour will be led by a Marine Biologist guide, explaining in detail the biology and history of these gentle giants. The guide will also takes photos during the tour, which are provided to our guests free of charge.
Close and intimate encounters with mother and baby Gray Whales
The tour departs at 6am from our office in the Cabo San Lucas Marina. From there we start the 4 hour drive up north to Puerto Chale, during which we pass through Todos Santos and La Paz.
Around 10:00 am we arrive in the small fishing town of Puerto Chale.
Your guide and captain will take you out on a private panga to find the most receptive gray whales. You will spend a total of 3 hours out on the water, looking for the friendly giants, dolphins and different sea bird species.
Once returned from the tour, you will have some time to relax and have a delicious lunch before heading back to Cabo San Lucas.
Please understand that when we view the whales and dolphins in their natural environment we are guests in their home and so we must follow a strict set of viewing guidelines in order to respect their natural life processes. Yes the whales do sometimes get close due to their inquisitive behavior, but we are dealing with wild animals so we cannot guarantee behaviors, only that we will be able to enjoy the beauty the whales and dolphins choose to share with us.
